Welcome to Staying Safe Online.  If you've visited this site previously, you'll notice a lot of changes have occurred.  Our technical issues have been resolved and we've changed our layout.  You should find it much easier to surf our site from the left navigation panel now.

We've also added new sections on Online Dating, Social Networking and Phishing.  Our internet world is still growing at a phenomenal pace.  People are creating new ways of interacting with others online on a daily basis.  Unfortunately, more interaction also means more potential unsafe situations people can run into online.

Staying Safe Online is not meant to scare people from surfing the internet.  We think the internet is a fantastic place, and it saddens us to see people limiting their activities online because they've heard so much negativity about things that happen in chat rooms, dating sites, forums, or other types of social networking sites.  We just want to give you the tools to surf safely so that you can get the maximum enjoyment from your time online.  We firmly believe that knowledge is power, and the more you know about online safety, the more safe your time online will be.

Stay safe and have fun online!
